[Aden – February 10, 2020] The conflicting political agendas of the Yemeni government led to a number of pivotal political and military failures. In addition to that, the contradictory players within the Yemeni government caused unequivocal obstruction to the implementation of the « Riyadh Agreement ». Moreover, the Yemeni government carried out political, media, economic and military fallacies, those are continuous attempts to cover those apparent failures and contradictions. As a result, this has eventually led to further complications.

This suspicious behavior reflects the continued efforts by the Yemeni government to thwart the great efforts of the Arab Coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia towards the war against the Houthi rebellion, the fight against terrorism and extremism, stablisation of the security and political landscapes.

The Southern Transitional Council re-iterates the importance of the « Riyadh Agreement », the pivotal role of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia as a leader of the Arab Coalition, hence, we reaffirm our strategic partnership, commitment and support to peace and stability efforts, fighting the Iranian’s agenda in the region, and combating terrorism and extremism.
