Protest on the island of Socotra against local authorities

[4 July 2019] Numerous protesters demonstrated on the island of Socotra against the authorities controlled by the Islah party. The protesters accused the party of aiming at the division of the local population and at the destabilization of the island. The protesters demanded the expulsion of the leadership of the Islah party from the island of Socotra and expressed their support for the Southern Transitional Council.
